Exciting news!

We went today to share some of our fun creations with Amy Irving at Smore Couture.  She happily took many different items to share in her store.  You can find baby onesies and little tees for boys and girls. Check out the cute little "Smore" onesie...just with the boutique in mind!  We are so excited that Amy wants us to be a part of her shop filled with wonderful, local, and handmade treasures!

Where does Sew Micheen come from?

You may wonder why we have not spelled the word "machine" correctly.  After thinking of a fun name for our endeavor, we came up with Sew Micheen.  If you combine Michelle and my name Noreen... it gives you MICHEEN.  Add our whimsical sewing machine picture and it all makes sense (or at least to us it does)!

Creative ideas join together

After years of talking about taking classes to learn "how to sew" my dear friend Michelle and I finally took the plunge and tried out our skills with a machine! Needless to say we thought it was quite funny that we had NO clue about the sewing jargon but that did not scare us away from putting together our own ideas to create something fun and unique.

Getting Started

After Michelle and I did some brainstorming and sharing ideas about some funs ways to create unique items, we have attempted to share our creative talents and adventures with our friends. Of course we still need to work on the "sewing" part, but nevertheless, we are so excited to try out our novice skills. We thought a blog would be a great way to share our cute gift ideas and get more ideas for future projects.
